We're in week 4 of the new school year, and Vivian is happily settled in her first grade class, which is where she will stay, despite the fact she already completed first grade in the British system school she attended in Qingdao.*
The great news about her school is that she gets to wear a uniform! And all three of us love it! White shirts and socks with either navy blue or red plaid bottoms, with black Converse sneakers. She loves it, I love it, and the Converse give the look a little tough-girl edge. Because you know, she's a tomboy now. As she likes to remind me regularly.
Continuing in the tradition of first day portraits, here she is on the Second First Day of First Grade, 2012 style.
Remember last year? And the year before? She is getting so big it breaks my heart. And makes me proud all at once.
*I don't know if I mentioned before, but Vivian received the Academic Achievement Award for Year 1 in her school in Qingdao! Way to go, Vivian, all your hard work paid off!
