Suddenly "the move" is happening very, very soon.
Here's what I am working on in anticipation of the impending international move.
- Planning two days of mover chaos June 7 and 8.
- Planning a rummage sale June 5.
- Selling all the furniture in our house that we are not bringing back to the US. Which is almost everything.
- Getting rid of almost every appliance that runs on 220 power (vacuum, hair dryer, TV, etc).
- Off-loading an industrial sewing machine (any takers?) and loads of craft supplies {update: sewing machine gone!}
- Figuring out how to import a rather large dog from China to the U.S.
- Researching cars because we have to buy not one but two cars upon our return to Oregon
- Looking for a contractor to re-finish our hardwoods back home before we move into our house
- Getting Vivian squared away for school
- Signing Vivian up for a summer day camp or two
- Planning leaving gifts for the special people here that we may not see again
- Planning a going away party/neighborhood BBQ
- Trying not to think about it all too much.
- Researching flights to Seattle leaving on June 20.
